Lifelike Mannequin

I don't know what it is, but I just can't seem to take my eyes off this mannequin.

Must be the hat.

Happy Birthday Jesus

Celebrate the true meaning of Christmas (or as I like to call it, X-Mas), with some portraits of Jesus from deep in the Junk Pirate photo archive.

This collection of Jesuses (Jesi?) features velvet, lil framer, and your contemporary dark skinned Jesus. And a small hookah in there too to make your spirits bright.

Foam Fingaz

For a minute we saved all the interesting 'Foam Fingers' that got donated, but we got bored after 5 of them and went back to hoarding pencil sharpeners and vintage markers.

Never pay for parking at the one specific lot that still uses these specific parking tokens, if it even still exists, and you can find it, again!

Anatomically Correct

Not that I'm constantly checking the genitalia of dolls and actions figures, but by and large they usually have molded underwear or just nothing down there at all. Except this player.

Swing and a Miss

After my last post about the Oakland A's, which was immediately followed by the AL Wild Card Game that was truly wild, I thought it would be appropriate to post this picture I took from the top of a vintage kiddy pinball toy. "Sock", indeed.

Chia Pet Coco Crisp

In honor of the amazing 'barely-made-the-second-wild-card-collapse-to-miraculously-win-the-world-series' post season of baseball that is about to start for the Oakland A's tonight, I present to you a whole grip of Chia Pet Coco Crisps.
A great promo item for the man with the greatest name in the Major Leagues.

Omnichord

For all you Electro-Hippies out there: it's an Omnichord electric harmonium complete with case.
A coworker scored this beauty before I could get my grubby hands on it, but she let me take a picture.

The Blues: Yamaha Fun Keyboard

We got a whole gig-bag full of sweet and soulful musical instruments coming up so put your favorite record on that Hi-Fi and get ready to rock.

We'll start off this instrumental junk-jam session with a tasty cut featuring this in-the-package Yamaha Fun Keyboard in soft blue tones. Or maybe add some vocal harmonies with the included microphone.

Git-box

Pretty solid looking electric guitar in a velvety case. Not bad at all.

'Special' Police

Now you too can be part of that elite American institution... the Sicherhettspolizei (?)
You'll be ready for action as part of the F.B.I., more commonly known as the "Special Police", with this deluxe set. It includes ID badge, radio, whistle, mini-shotgun, ass-whomping stick, sucking darts, and some Police earplugs, I think.

Demolition Derby Pinball

We got another pinball game here at the Junk Store, and amazingly it is pretty functional. The flippers don't go all the way down, and some of the lights are burnt, and the game play is pretty simple, but, hey, working pinball game at the Junk Store!

You can learn more about Demolition Derby pinball here.

You can learn about the other pinball game that was donated years ago, and how much it sucked, at the Tales from the Junk Store post here.

Lil Devil and Friends

This oddball assortment of goofy puppets put a smile on my face. We have the Major, the stoney Doofus, the Kaiser, and my close personal friend...

Satan.

Intellivision: Pitfall! and SNAFU

I could have sworn that I've posted more images of some of the Intellivision video game systems that have come through the Junk Store over the years, but a quick search of all the video game posts reveals nothing.
So allow me to make up for lost time by posting a few classics, in their original boxes.

First and obviously the best is Activision's Pitfall! The classic game that never ends.

And then one of my favorites as a youngster, SNAFU. Complete with box and controller overlays.

"Body Massager" by Housefun

NOT a vibrator. Just a vibrating body massager in a box that features a woman in a bikini who really seems to be enjoying her massage.

more typewriters

Everybody agrees: Old non-electric typewriters are the best. Great for typing, great for taking pictures of. Here are some old typers that I haven't posted yet, so sit back at your -scoff- computer and wish you were swinging to the smooth click-clacks of Remington, Royal, and Smith-Corona.

Conan the Librarian

Crom might not care about the piddling problems of us mortal (then to hell with you!), but I sure as hell care a great deal about all these awesome Conan paperbacks.

Even better. the miniature Conan sword replica.
Great for crushing your enemies, seeing them driven before you, hearing the lamentations of the women, and opening letters.

Bontempi and Magnus Reed Pianos

A few of the many electric harmonium reed pianos that pass through my hands on a regular basis.
